EUA prices have risen since last week in a swift move. Some analysts thought that move was more technical in nature and speculative buyers have triggered a short squeeze. Other energy markets followed the EUAs move up, although the magnitude of the moves were not matched. Both these factors indicate that in the short-term, prices could ease off a bit before the next move higher.
