EUA prices have moved to the lower part of the last two-month range. Tuesday marked the biggest daily range of December as prices got volatile after news of explosion at an Austrian gas hub. Gas prices jumped considerably after the news, which caused German power prices to reach highest yearly values. EUAs reached almost 7.50 EUR/unit at that time, but gains turned into losses in the afternoon when prices tumbled to 7.12 EUR/EUA.
