EUAs made a quick move to the upper part of the September’s range in anticipation of the Thursday’s EU ETS trilogue talks. It appears that all the recent news are supportive for carbon prices and market participants don’t want to get caught on the wrong side of the possible upwards move after the talks conclude. Some French nuclear power plants will extend the planned outages, which is keeping power prices high.
