Belektron is a well-established trading company with its main focus on carbon emission allowances. Our company is on the market since 2008 and even though we are not located in one of the European financial centers and not being part of any larger banking or energy group, we have in the meantime become one of the largest and most successful global companies in carbon trading. We are a member of ICE and EEX exchange. Additionally, we are also official EEX market maker on spot and derivatives market. Belektron became MiFID II regulated investment firm under the supervision of Slovenian Securities Market Agency in January 2018. The registry of issued licences is available here.
A wide international network and successful trading relations with major European carbon traders, industrial companies, electric utilities and banks allow us to provide a competitive gateway to the liquid European carbon markets for our counterparties.
“ Belektron’s dedicated team of experienced professionals is a part of successful story from its early beginnings of carbon market and has positioned itself as a bridge between EU ETS compliance companies, project developers and liquid carbon markets. Direct access to primary auctions and all major carbon trading venues enables us to offer competitive prices to our counterparties which positions Belektron as one of the leading independent carbon trading companies in the international carbon markets. By obtaining MiFID II licence we made a natural and neccessary step in Belektron’s evolution into investment firm, which enables us to keep and expand our current position in the carbon market.”
