EUA prices reached values above 8 EUR/unit on Tuesday, but the uncertainty of the outcome of today’s EU ETS trilogue talks has kept the prices from staying above that number. As the talks are scheduled to begin after today’s market close, the main effect on the price will only be seen tomorrow. After the recent strong moves in the market, participants may likely expect the talks to go well, which may push EUA prices even higher.
